From a happy advertiser:
Recently a copy of the magazine came across my desk. Shortly after receiving the magazine, I got a couple emails about advertising. I filed it in the corner of my brain and eventually took a couple minutes to check out the magazine. Immediately upon reading I was intrigued by the raw authentic nature of the stories and women they featured. It was completely unique. I called Marci to share my feelings and pay my respects to magazine. After a brief conversation I agreed to do an ad for the Holidays. It had been some time since I ran an ad in a magazine. I really wasn’t sure what to expect. Do ads in magazines even work anymore? Will this help bring new customers? I was thrilled with the assistance I got in creating the ad layout within in a quick turnaround period.
Fast forward to a couple days after the holiday hustle while working alone in my store, a new customer walked in. A lovely women introduced herself as a new resident in the area from Ireland. We had all sorts of wonderful conversation and connection.
She purchased a new bra wardrobe as well as few other things. She recognized many of my international brands and communicated how happy she was to have found us.
When I asked, “How did you find us?” She responded that she had seen our ad in Pink Chair Storytellers and she couldn’t believe my store was in her own back yard. Without disclosing details, I can tell you that one single sale more than paid for my advertisement but more importantly, I met a new customer and made a true connection with wonderful woman who left really happy and will no doubt be back.
